Mr. Stilmar is a Managing Director in the Ares Public Markets IR and Corporate Communications Group, where he focuses on U.S. direct lending and real estate investor relations. Prior to joining Ares in 2013, Mr. Stilmar was an Equity Analyst at JMP Securities, Sun Trust Robinson Humphrey and Friedman Billings Ramsey, where he focused on covering consumer and commercial specialty finance companies. Previously, Mr. Stilmar worked in the Corporate Planning and Treasury Group at Capital One. Mr. Stilmar holds a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Richmond E. Clairborne Robins School of Business with a dual concentration in Finance and Marketing. He has been recognized by Institutional Investor Magazine and the Financial Times for excellence in his field.
